Not Quite One: Austin Portrait Photographer

The warmth radiating from this family was palpable. What a fun session! Their little boy wasn’t quite a year old. He was bold and brave, taking on the steps without fear. I love sensing the intellect in the little ones that can’t quite talk yet but you know so, so much is going on in there. I got a sense this little one will be unstoppable. Sweetest family. Sharp as a tack little dude. Great session!

Soulful Little Dude: Austin Portrait Photographer

I photographed the most wonderful mother-son session recently. I hadn’t “seen” this little boy since he was inside his mama’s belly so today I got to meet him.  I could tell when photographing him that he is a special kid and I think it comes through in the photographs. I could also see that this mama and little boy have a sweet, tender, loving connection. I am so happy to have been able to work with these clients…

With all my friendships, in all aspects of my life, I am honored to be called “friend.” This session was for long-time clients turned friends. I am honored to be trusted to be the family archivist and to be invited to witness their lives. This trip to D.C. has made me so nostalgic and sentimental! Anyway, guys, I am thrilled we got to work together while I was in town…I am over the moon with the results of the session. Can’t wait for you to see them all!

How lucky I am to have such wonderful friends. I think their inner beauty shines through in these portraits. A portrait – to remember this beauty and carry it with in the days that pass too quickly that we are apart. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. I feel the poignant touch of friendship keenly. Friends are family.

Today’s session was in Washington, D.C. at The Mall – Capitol Hill and the Botanical Gardens…
