I photograph lots of weddings and am happy to report that I have been winning awards for my work. I have been photographing weddings for three years and actively working behind the camera for five years.

My philosophy when photographing weddings is to lay low and let things unfold naturally. I am an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association – www.wpja.com and the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association www.agwpja.com - and just love these organizations. I also photograph a lot of portraits. My philosophy with portraiture is also to lay low. I try to create a relaxed atmosphere and think what you might call it is “lifestyle” photography.

My love of photography is rooted in photojournalism and fine art. I studied photojournalism at the University of Texas, Austin in graduate school and transitioned to weddings and portraits after deciding to start a family. My background before photography was in film and I worked in Los Angeles in the movie business. I have always been around a camera.
